To kick off her senior year, Serena San Nicolas decided to enroll in only English classes. Her desire to write stories began her sophomore year in her first journalism class. Every semester since then Serena has been an active writer and reporter for the Grandview High School’s newspaper, The Student.

Aside from writing and reporting, she also takes part in National Honor Society, FCCLA, and the A+ Program. By involving herself in multiple school activities, Serena has found a way to participate in almost all things school. She plans on using her A+ hours to help pay for her first few semesters in college. However, Serena still plans on enjoying every moment of her last year in high school.
