Debaters earn conference awards

During the weekend of Feb. 13-14, Grandview High School students competed in the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference Tournament for Speech/Debate, with several students earning honors for their performance.

The following students earned all-conference honors:

1st Team All-Conference
Javier Guzman/Pamela Orr, second place, policy debate; Sidney Sykes second place, congressional debate; and Louren Words, second place, poetry reading.
2nd Team All-Conference
