When students and staff returned to GHS a few weeks ago, they were greeted with a number of improvements.

Probably the most significant change is the new stadium entrance. Other changes include remodeled bathrooms, renovations to the front parking lot, and a change to the vending machines

The projects were made possible by the community, which supported a bond issue to provide funding for the renovations.

“Like any school that’s older, it’s important and safer to make the necessary changes that we made to the school,” said GHS Principal Steven Scraggs.

Dr. Scraggs thinks the changes are great and he feels it makes the students feel better while their at school. Dr. Scraggs added that a positive learning environment can help students perform well academically. He feels that students who feel better at school will do better while they’reĀ at school.
