ANKENY, IA — Four people were taken to hospitals after a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday morning in Polk County, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Three of the injured were children.
Authorities said the crash happened around 11:40 a.m. in the 3500 block of NW 118th Avenue, a stretch of road between Ankeny and Polk City. Officials said the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Deputies said the wreck involved one vehicle that rolled over in the 3500 block of NW 118th Avenue. The road links rural areas north of Ankeny with Polk City, and the crash drew an emergency response shortly before midday.
The sheriff’s office has not released a breakdown of where the vehicle was headed or how many people were in the vehicle beyond the four who were hospitalized. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.
Three children and one adult were transported for care
Four occupants of the vehicle were hospitalized, including three children. Authorities have not identified the patients or said which hospitals received them.
