On Dec. 17, the boys basketball team took on the Ray-Pec Panthers, winning 57-53 in overtime.
Freedom Akinmoladun, Nate Scott and Damon King were instrumental in the Bulldog victory.
Bulldogs Head Coach Randy Farris was pleased with the win, but sees opportunities for improvement.
“We missed a lot of shots early. We are working to improve our offense,” Coach Farris said. “Ray-Pec had a nice game plan, but we need to play better,” the coach added.
Senior Nathan Scott led the way, scoring 14 points, grabbing three rebounds and adding one assist and a steal. Another senior, Damon King, contributed 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals. Tyrone Taylor, also a senior, added 12 points, four assists, and three steals. Senior Wesley Nosakhare, finished with 6 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Walter Sorrells Jr, a senior, added 6 points, two rebounds, four assists and one steal.
