Down! Set! Hike!
On Aug. 27, the Bulldogs will host their first football game against the Oak Park Northmen. Some students believe that Oak Park will win, but according to Grandview strong safety Christian Hunley, “Those people are wrong. We are better than Oak Park and this is definitely a win.”
“I think the team could be better than last year. There’s always a chance. If they put their minds to it, they can do anything,” said sophomore Bulldog fan Ben Buller.
Ramontay McConnell, a senior member of the team, said even though there may be some doubters out there, the team will work hard to prove them wrong when the season kicks off Friday at 7 p.m.
“There is always going to be an opinion from different people. Some believe that we will do better and some don’t believe at all. We as a team need to prove them wrong, to get others to believe that we will do better this year,” McConnell said.
Bulldogs’ wide receiver coach Franklin Foreman, has an optimistic outlook the game against Oak Park.
“I think we should do well this game,” Coach Foreman said.
