The Student

Future sports analyst Jay’Len Thompson, a senior at GHS, has been a staff member for three years because he likes reporting on topics.

Thompson is involved in sports, including football, basketball, and baseball. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL so he is not able to play football for his last season.

He wants to play football in college, but he is undecided on where he wants to go and he wants to be a sports analyst..

He is not all about sports, however Thompson participates in the A+ program and NHS.

Outside of school he watches sports and hang with friends.

During his sophomore and junior year, he played in the state basketball championship. Thompson said “The first time it was a cool experience. I had confidence that we can get the job done. However, it was hard journey to get there and I was nervous. The second time I was geeked and it was a very close game. Therefore, I was nervous as well.”
