Katelyn Thompson is a new student in the Grandview C-4 District, coming from Topeka West High School, and is already looking forward to the new school year.

Although shy at first, Katelyn is loud and fun with her friends. She enjoys skating, bowling, and reading books or fanfiction. Her current book she is enjoying is “Cirque Du Freak” by Darren Shan.

She  participates in roller derby and can always go for winning a game of bowling against her dad. Katelyn has been skating on a roller derby team for almost five years, and is currently taking a break because of the recent move to another state. She is also participating in the school’s journalism class. Katelyn joined journalism because she enjoys writing and expressing herself. She not only likes this class but also hopes to become a journalist or an editor for a publishing company in her future.

Katelyn is looking forward to the new experiences she will have at Grandview Senior High School.
