Poetry night winners, Sydney Walker, Justus McBride, and Samantha Lambert gather on stage on April 12th 2018.

Poetry Night was Thursday, April 12 in the GHS auditorium. The theme of Poetry Night was Poetic Justice. Literary design class, under the direction of teacher Dana Dixon, put Poetry Night together. At Poetry Night there were rappers and dancers performing for the theme Poetic Justice. Makayla Golston played a part in Poetry Night by reciting a poem. They did cypher and danced. There were eight poets, two dancers and five rappers performing.

At Poetry Night the judges were Ms. Cameron, Mr. Keleher. Golston has won poetry night two times already.

Sydney Walker won first place in poetry night and received $25. The second place winner was Samantha Lambert, who won $15. The third place winner was Justus McBride, who won $10.

Poetry Night was a lot of hard work but it came together well. They had a great crowd who seemed to enjoy the performance.
