The GHS Thespians are back for another round of acting,  laughter, and a night full of fun with their production of “The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon,” a comedic play performing all 200+ fairy tales “created” by the Brother’s Grimm.

The production is very simplistic, swapping flashy special effects with corny props and sets for a comedic effect. The challenge for the GHS thespians is to create an awkward feel without the play itself feeling awkward. Tough right? Mr. Haynes is prepared for the challenge.

Mr. Haynes is the director of GHS’ spring production.

“The play is far from traditional, but is guaranteed to provide lots of laughs and twists on the classic fairy tales,” Mr. Haynes said. The focus is to have fun and make something that people will enjoy, and also that the actors will enjoy — especially the lead roles.

The play features two main roles, Narrator 1 and Narrator 2. Narrator 1 is played by Jasmyn Tilford and Narrator 2 is played by Romello Davis.

Tilford is excited to end her final high school production on a high note and likes the chance to be a part of a play in which she can fully cut loose and have fun. Davis, this being his biggest lead role since he began theater, is excited to take on the responsibility and honor of more stage time. “It should be very fun, as always,” Davis said.

The performance of “The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon” will be held at GHS April 20-22 at 7 p.m.
